Why did the Lugaria agar plate used in Ward's Glowing Bacteria.. Lab contain the antibiotic ampicillin? - wards lab 4
Antibiotics are commonly added to the agar, want to inhibit bacterial growth, fast-growing weeds, which would probably overtake and overwhelm the body to grow and study. Ampicillin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic of the penicillin family.
